A funeral and burial with full military honors will be held
at Arlington National Cemetery, honoring Col Dorrer's 30
years of service in the U.S. Air Force where he served in
three wars:
World War II, Korea & Vietnam as a career pilot and
logistician.
Dates are as follows:
Thursday September 8th, 2005 2:00–5:00pm Visitation
at Arlington Funeral Home
4:00pm Eulogy
Arlington Funeral Home 3901 North Fairfax Drive,
Arlington, VA 22203
Friday, September 9th, 2005 10:00am – Report to Ft.
Myer Post Chapel
Ft. Myer Post Chapel funeral service followed by
horse-drawn caisson procession to Arlington National
Cemetery for burial. Please note: guests will follow the
procession in their vehicles, not walking.
Full Military Honors to include the United States Air Force
band, marching troops, firing party, color guard, bugler
and Missing Man Formation Fly-By.
All guests will need to allow time to arrive early, as all
cars must be inspected upon arrival to Ft. Myer. Everyone
must have photo identification to enter Fort Myer.
